The Emment Cemetery, also known as the Doty Cemetery, is located in Madison County, Indiana
south of Reformatory Rd./Lick Creek Rd. on the property of the Fortville Community Center. Its legal description is:
S4 T17N R6E. Its GPS coordinates are: 39°57'00"N 85°51'03"W
Note: Local researchers note that some bodies and stones were moved to Gravel Lawn more than thirty-eight years ago.
Some field stones were used as head stones--neighbors claim these stones were for Indians who were buried there.
