August 20th marks a great opportunity for everyone who serves genealogists, from librarians and archivists to volunteers and society members who desire a closer working relationship with their local library or archives. This year's theme:  "Collaboration: The Path to Success,"  highlights the need for libraries, archives and societies to work together to share knowledge and resources. Librarians' Day, sponsored by ProQuest, will feature Kris Rzepczynski, Elaine Kuhn and Curt Witcher sharing their thoughts and experiences, and opportunities for others to share and learn. The day will end with Allen County Public Library Special Collections Tours featuring the Lincoln Library, The Genealogy Center and its Genealogy Materials Handling Unit, and the Internet Archives scanning unit.

Cost is $10. Click for more information and registration.

Location: Allen County Public Library Theater, 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN.
