Introduction to the 1940 Census

The long-awaited census for 1940 will be released on April 2, 2012, and will be available that day from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) website, and shortly thereafter will be available at Archives.com and Ancestry.com. The indexing process will quickly begin, but no index will be available immediately. If you just don't want to wait until indexes are available, this class will provide tips on locating your ancestors in this valuable resource.
