Basics of Scanning, Kay Spears
Learn about scanning, one of the ways to save your family photographs, documents, letters, diaries, etc. This program will cover the basics of scanning, from how to handle your different artifacts to the file format in which your family treasures should be saved. There will be a demonstration with a flatbed scanner, and you are invited to bring a few photographs to scan and save to your USB drive.

Beginners meet at 6:30 p.m., more advanced researchers gather at 7:30 p.m.

We will show you fast and easy ways to digitize and revive photos of friends, family, and adventures that are gathering dust in closets and digital shoeboxes. Learn how to digitize pictures, restore them to original quality (with as little as one click), and how to tell your story to future generations. In one session, you can begin the enjoyable pastime of organizing, digitizing photos, and storytelling.
